‘Someone gives somebody something’

 

Four works from China

Each one of the four business cards was given to the artist on a visit to China. The cards have been unified, scaled up, reversed white on black. The card owners name in English has been transcribed to the front face to float within a landscape of Chinese characters and numbers. Where language has been reduced to basic elements a transformation has occurred; between real experience and mere information.
